I really love this series. I inhale them as you post and then circle back to finally leave feedback when I have enough time to devote.

she still remembered Lex's eye twitching as the items were destroyed for their materials.
He deserves it! lol

The uncharitable thought occurred to Lois that Lex could have warned her to dress for a frozen wilderness, but she shook the notion away.
No, this was a jerk move. So glad you're writing her to be observant, even if she's dismissing it.

Quote
“Are you okay, Smallville?”
Awww. That's adorable that she's worried for him.

Quote
On his unshaven face, it looked more roguish than she was used to.
Ooook, heeeeyyy!!! Big fan of this look!

Quote
“I'm fine. Just...making sure everyone else is doing alright.”
That is one of the least lie-y Clark Kent lies he's ever lied.

Quote
By some miracle, she hadn't yet gotten frost-bite despite the lack of socks or gloves.
The way you phrased this is just genius.

Quote
“I'd think more of a mustard,” she teased as they once again took up their positions. “Or maybe horseradish.”
Jimmy groaned. Clark smothered a laugh. Lex was silent.
It's like perfect character descriptions in a tiny microcosm.

At least there was hope of reaching the end of the ice if they kept heading south...
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!”
Just such perfect structure here.

Quote
“As your employer, I am assuming command of this little expedition. We are turning around. We will head back to the portal, and I will determine the best way to divide our remaining resources!”
OMG, nightmare scenario.

The group turned to stare at Lex.
Nothing like watch a tyrannical, megalomaniacal misogynist out himself. This whole section was really tidily done. You could feel the tensions rising off the page!

Quote
Clark looked torn for some reason. “Reporters' intuition?”
Awwwwwww. He's so bad at this.

Quote
Dr. Lewis shook his head. “Is not. It's definitely a larch.”
rotflol ...are you friends with academics?? Nailed this.

Quote
The two women stared at him.
OMG, I'm dying reading this. rotflol
Also, kudos for actually having two women talk about their period, however obliquely. It would be one of the first things I'd worry about, and it just rarely comes up in these kinds of stories. And it's not like your Luthor would have budgeted for tampons. Just makes it more realistic, and makes Luthor more despicable.

Clark narrowed his eyes at Lex.
GET HIM!

Something like relief washed through Lois, though she couldn't think why. Sharing living arrangements with Lex would eventually be a natural progression in their relationship if things kept going well, as would...sharing warmth. Her eyes involuntarily flicked to Clark, and his innocently-made offer of assistance with the “monthly problem” played through her mind again.
Love the way you wrote this!! OMG, so telling, such a perfect blend!

Love love love this story!
