Aww, that was so heartwarming and bittersweet as well. Mini-Lois is adorable. Poor Clark, too. He definitely has had a rough time. Which...mkaes a lot of sense though, in his situation. I always thought the sohw went over the implications of AltClark's background situation too smoothly. Like losing his parents at that age before all the powers manifested would be such a screw-up but it hardly seemed to have affected him there. Glad that isn't the case here.
Its also nice to see that Clark does recognize the "creepy" factor of the whole situation, so to speak. He knows and understands that and why his actions could be interpreted as very questionable at best, but he also wants some self-indulgent comfort and wants to give Lois something back for her, well, being herself.
On a long-form thinking scale, the huge age gap does raise questions, obviously...but then, Clark does not age like a regular human anyways. There's a good chance that when Lois reaches, say, her twenties, Clakr doesn't look much older and all. It would not make too much of a difference for osmeone presumably living for two-three lifetimes at least, so...eh.
But lets not go that fast forward. For now, the questions are, how will this encounter affect both Lois and Clark and their lives, both individually and together, going forward? Will Clark return for another night? If not, will they see each other again and when? Ah, the possibilities...intirguing.
Great little story and, In case you haven't guessed it already, I absolutely would love to see this world continued with more fic(let)s.
