All the original characters are interesting and add a lot of depth and intricacy to the story. You truly are doing an amazing job of bringing this story to life.
The fight scene was intense. Arc-Tal is a bully and I was hoping for a different conclusion. Clark unknowingly made Ching look bad. He still has a lot to learn. I have a feeling that Arc-Tal is now even more empowered and will continue to cause problems.
I like Devers. He’s good for Clark.
It makes sense that there would be so many original characters. Clark is among his parents' people, he is also learning a new culture first hand and not from books. His grandmother, Lady Lo, as well as all the other family members are teaching him a great deal about being a Kryptonian.
Thank you for noticing the sword fight scene. It was intense! The late Ken Janney wrote it for me four years ago and its wonderful that readers are taking notice of it. Arc-Tal is a bully and we have not seen the last of him unfortunately. Yes, Clark did make Ching look bad and it was not his plan to do so. He is learning his way.
Devers is a kind-hearted man. Whenever I think of him, Uncle Mike comes to mind.
