Today I had more luck understanding what was going on. This flashback shows us a lot about the respective characters of Polara and Nor's father. He prefers seeking battle over the survival of his own people. He's lost all common sense and we can expect Nor to act the same way. Polara is fighting because she has to and would prefer to maintain peace, but the circumstances won't let her.

Polara has seen a great deal in her one hundred plus years and this battle with Zay-Il is one of the more turbulent parts of her life. We will see more about just why Zay-Il remained behind and the terrible results of his decision.

I really hate all the time that has passed since my last posting of The Courier, but DEFINITELY this week there will be a new posting. Whew! Technology!

Glad you are feeling better!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
