Terry, this gets better with every chapter you post! I love the pace you're setting here, and how you're introducing the delicate complexities among Lois, Clark and the trial. (I hadn't even thought about the possibility of Lois having to reveal Superman's true identity on the witness stand!)
Clark's interaction with a hung-over Lois was beautifully written, and Lois' inability to remember exactly what was in her cupboards nearly made me laugh out loud! (Maybe, just maybe, I've found myself in the same predicament once or twice.

)
Clark's conversation with Constance was also wonderfully constructed, and I loved this part, in particular:
" ... In order to keep being Superman, I’ve got to be found not guilty of these charges on the basis of the law, not the skill of my attorney. My reputation and my conscience both require this of me.”
That's it, isn't it? So perfectly voiced, so perfectly Clark.
