I was going to guess Catherine, as well. I remember her Spin requests were for first season where L & C weren't involved, and the only mention of Lex being a passing reference. Alright, this is more than just a passing reference, but this guessing thing is getting to be way too hard.
BTW, isn't it funny (in a sad kind of way) that Lois asks Clark to come to give her the male perspective instead of Lex? I can just picture first season Lois doing that kind of thing without giving it a second thought.
