I can assure you, I'm not trying to fool anyone. At least for now, John is not much more than a foil for Clark. Admittedly, though, I want to develop him further and I'm not 100% sure where I'm going with that.
I can also promise you that John won't turn out to be evil. The mental image I have of him is a younger, softer Perry.
I appreciate all of the feedback. Thank you so much! It really does inspire me to work faster. (I know, you are now wondering if it's really possible to writer slower.)
