Yay, you brought back Jimmy! Although I know some people on these boards don't like him, I do and was glad to see him in this scene, and also show some of the holes in Perry's story. Yes, it would work for the population in general, but anyone knowing Clark would see the flaws. Although you could argue that Lois couldn't wear a bullet proof vest to a night club because everyone would see it under her dress. So Clark stepped in front of her to take the bullet because he was the one with protection.
Anyway, it was nice to see this up.
