Nqoire, this is truly goofy Great Tank ending!

It's very well written too: your Lex is suitably proud and arrogant, reflecting on his political ambitions. Buy off all of Congress - yeah, that's so Lex. wink

Just one tiny nitpick: I can't quite see Lex saying 'Great!' - but I could very clearly see him saying 'Excellent' or something similar.

Well done!

LOL! We can't say this wasn't as advertised!

I love the comedic touches -- Clark ranking not being able to rescue someone in a shoot out up there with his muse going AWOL and his milk going bad. <bg>

Very funny!

Actually, Wendy, this was MY mistake. You can see it if you read the original post .

Oh, I'm glad you posted, Anna - I hadn't realised that the first half of the story was yours until I came here and read your post. It didn't occur to me to go check back to the actual challenge before reading the story.

Well done to both of you then!! thumbsup

The first scene was great <g> with Luthor at his smug and slimy best. And the set-up was ingenious.

And for Nqoire's addition: rotflol

He glanced ruefully at his door, which now held a rather large dent from where he had kicked it. Then he decided he didn’t care.
Oh dear. <g> The poor boy is depressed, isn't he?

Hmmmmmmmm...with a start like this maybe we have a double act to rival Wendy and Tank for dual-author challenges. wink

Athos: If you'd told us what you were doing, we might have been able to plan this properly.
Aramis: Yes, sorry.
Athos: No, no, by all means, let's keep things suicidal.

I don't think we'll ever rival Wendy and Tank. wink But we can follow in their impossible-to-fill footsteps. laugh

Thanks to all y'all for the comments! They are so encouraging. And of course, thanks to Anna for a wonderful challenge.

Imagine.
