I'm starting a separate thread so we won't bury the list with replies. Wow, that was quick Tricia. What was with the 2 weeks for selection? Overnight even. Artemis

<moved from nominations thread>
Wow! That was fast tabulating! Out of curiosity, how many people submitted nominations?
I am surprised, humbled, and honoured to see some of my fanfic in among all those great stories...Well, pleasantly shocked and amazed would really be more accurate. My thanks to whoever nominated my stories!
And congratulations to all of the other nominees!

Ooh! This is exciting! Thanks for whoever nominated me! Super excited to see my name among the nominees! It's like being nominated for an Oscar --well, sort of. But close enough!

When I saw this thread, I went to the Kerth site to check out the nominations. I was confused when I didn't see any of the stories I had nominated. Then I realized the webpage was for 2010. Thanks for the nominations for my stories. I haven't been here that long but I can tell you I've been impressed by the amazing quality of all the stories that have been posted and the involvement of everyone in reading and commenting on stories, organizing Kerth quizzes, etc. It's a privilege to be a part of all this. /me scampers into thread. Puts large box with a red ribbon on top in the middle of the floor. Sticks a large notice on its side: FREE SHINY PINS! GET YOUR FREE PIN HERE! /me scampers out of thread. /me comes back into thread briefly and takes a pin - I'll need one of those. LabRat PS - Congratulations to all nominees!

/peeps in again/ Uhmm... We're supposed to reuse the pin for each category, right? /carefully picks pins out of hand, cleans them, and returns them to box, except one, before creeping back out/ Michael PS: We need a wave-with-pin-sticking-out-of-hand graemlin during Kerth season

Wow! I'm honored to be nominated, and tickled pink that someone liked Lana that much. I'm also in very good company, and happy that this fandom is still going strong and attracting strong new authors after so many years.
Best wishes to all!

I’d like to add my congratulations for all of the nominees.
The Kerths are part of what makes this fandom special. It’s not just recognition for the authors. I believe the greatest value of the Kerth awards is for readers.
When I first found this fandom, with thousands of stories, I would have had no idea where to start. The Kerth awards answered that question. When I’ve been to other sources of fanfic in other fandoms, it’s always a struggle figuring out what to read.
As for my own nominations, I really don’t know what to say beyond, “Thank you.”

Congratulations to all authors who had a story nominated! As Bob said, the Kerths are a special part of this fandom. If you've never attended the ceremony before, do what you can to be there. And to those who nominated my stories - thank you. Corrina.

Congratulations to all the nominees! And thank you for the nominations for my stories! I feel like I haven't been around much this year, so they feel extra special. I actually read a fair amount of stories so far this year in preparation for the Kerths, so I know what stiff competition I'm up against. A huge thank you to the Kerth committee as well for all their work on this - and getting the list of nominations up so quickly. Did you guys work overnight or something?

I just saw the complete list of nominees (missed this thread first time around), and I'm shocked! Two of my babies made the list! I don't expect to win, not with the competition I'm up against, but I get all warm and fuzzy inside just being nominated.
Thank you all. And may the best story in each category win! (As I'm sure each one will.)

I'm late to this party, but ... I was thrilled to be nominated. Thank you to all of you fantastic authors out there that make this my favorite fandom and give me so many pleasurable stories to read. B

So I'm just having a quick look because I'm wondering if it's about Kerths time, and I spot the thread with the noms list, and...uh? I'm on it? *jaw hits floor* (no one told me the list was out, let alone that I was on it, so I figured there was absolutely zero chance I'd see my name there, obviously) I'm shocked people still actually remember me! Thank you!

Not only that, Lara, your story was on several of the quizzes because it was such a unique take on LnC. Good luck to all the nominees! Artemis
