A few years ago, there was an exhibition of Islamic art in the museum of Louisiana, Denmark. The art displayed was beautiful and fascinating.












The most stunning thing I saw at this exhibition was a room where the interior of a splendid mosque was projected on the walls and the ceiling. Soft light seemed to fill the room and highlight the wonderful colors and the amazingly beautiful geometric patterns and fantastic calligraphy coming at you from all directions. It was truly overwhelming. Since I can't find anything that even comes close to that amazing portrait of a mosque on the web, I'll just show you some details of the Dome on the Rock in Jerusalem.
