I woke up this morning and thought the day was just like any other Friday, however after three different doctor visits in 2 hours my husband has been put in the hospital with a raging infection.
I am asking for prayers or if you don't pray good thoughts for his health. I am at home gathering items he wants and making calls to our families.
We are both very scared.

How dreadful for you. I'll be thinking of you both and sending all good thoughts your way. LabRat

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I can't imagine what that must be like.

My dad was once in ICU with a bad infection... it's very scary. I'm sure they will be giving him IV antibiotics and they work wonders.
I'll say a prayer for comfort and a speedy recovery.
Hang in there.

Thanks for the kindness, I went back to the hospital and they had the picc line which will run the IV but they have to take him for additional tests before they can give him the meds.
I am hoping that the meds will begin tonight, at this point they are talking about 10 days of IVs.

Hope he gets well soon... I'll pray, too. <shudders> Must be really scary, having someone you love out there in the hospital. Take heart. We're here praying for you both...

Since my wife was recently in the hospital, even though it was for a completely different - and pre-planned - reason, it's not a fun time. I pray that your husband gets completely well very soon, cp33. And I pray that you'll have the strength to face this trial.

We are still waiting for some test results but it is a possibility that hubby could, perhaps, slight chance come home tomorrow.
Doctor is thrilled with his progress, he is not however strong enough without the strong IV meds to keep fighting off infections and germs.

He is home but very tired. He is on a strong oral antibotic.
We are hoping he is up and well by Thanksgiving.
Thank you for your kind thoughts.
