The image shows up if you only see the image on a browser. Let me try: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.loisandclarkarchive.com/ROTP/ReturnOfThePrankster889.jpg) EDIT: I couldn't see it either before I posted (only saw "-"). Now I can see it in my post and yours also. Can you see them? EDIT2: When I close my browser and reopen, can't see them anymore. Back to "-".

Is there a size limit for pictures posted? malu EDIT: OK, just checked the Picture Posting FAQ and apparently there isn't a limit for pictures posted.

I can see it w/o any problems or did I miss the boat?

Hm, it seems the website doesn't allow external linking. Yes, that's a problem with some websites. Or some expire after a few days. Anyway, I don't see any pictures. Be careful with the spacing between the [img] commands and the url of the picture. A space won't allow it to load. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.folcsite.com/dean/Deangerous.jpg) There is an extra space between the ] and h and it won't load, but you see the address. (One of my favorite pics of Dean) Also, you must include the file type (i.e. .jpg) On size limit, 600 pixels wide gives you a picture that fills an standard computer screen with no scrolling need. (I hate to scroll sideways) Artemis

In my case, the first post has the same picture as Maria, which is 900x619 pixels. For a couple of times, it showed the picture, and then, after that, I could only see the "-" (I'm using Firefox). The other post with picture has the thumb sized version of that picture, with 90x61 pixels. Both pictures are from the same website, loisandclarkarchive.com , and I can't see either (only the "-"). Something interesting: when I click on the "-" and try to see the properties of the image, all I get is the location of the image (the URL), and the sizes are 0 KB. It's as if the images aren't downloaded at all. As for the picture you posted, Artemis, I can see it. So I don't think it's a general problem with pictures, just for maybe this website. For example, I have no problem seeing ALL the motivational posters from the "FoLC Productions" forum. malu UPDATE: Was able to see once again the pictures from that website on this page, and when I reloaded the page, they were gone. Go figure.

Soundss like there's a bandwidth restriction or something blocking external linking. Best answer is to get your own photobucket or flickr account, save the picture there, and link to that.

Maria, loisandclarkarchive.com doesn't allow linking. You'll have to save the pics and upload them for another page in order to post them.

Malu, if the picture is , that is really too big to post comfortably on most screens. DL the pic to your computer, resize to a max of 600 pixels and upload on one of the free sites mentioned and it'll stay. Artemis

Artemis, Thanks for the info, but the picture, *when* it showed on my computer, looked fine. The whole point was that the site loisandclarkarchive.com doesn't allow external linking. I even tried posting the thumbnail version of the picture from that site, and it didn't work. I didn't actually need to post the image; I just wanted to try and understand what was going on. Thanks anyway. malu

Right. And there are many such sites, but you don't know until you try to post 'em. The cue that there is a problem is that the "-" shows up. That happens due to other problems too (like the spacing thing). That's why the How To thread is here! Artemis
