Okay, I can see it now... Lori arrives back home *just* after Clark's gone back looking for her
Speaking of seeing, I've been surprised by all the references to how very much Lori looks like Lois (clone jokes, etc). I knew there were similarities (height, dark hair and eyes, etc), but I didn't think they were *that* close. I think I liked it better when Lori wasn't a carbon copy (at least physically) of Lois.
Not sure why -- maybe, in my mind anyway, it makes Lori less of her own person, which is a shame.
Regardless, I'm still loving this story. And the interaction between L&L is terrific.
Oh, and I note that even in a series set a hundred years in the future, you *still* manage to get Henderson involved
