Been a while since we did this, and I'm curious to see how the numbers have changed in the last three years or so. So... simple enough question. How old are you? Voting is, of course, anonymous (as always). For comparison purposes: September 2003 0-12 0% (0) 13-19 16% (14) 20-25 37% (32) 26-35 19% (16) 36-50 22% (19) 51-60 5% (4) 61-80 1% (1) 81+ 0% (0) Do you hide your age? Choose 1 No, I'm too young. Maybe later... 28% (24) Of course not! I hate lying! 51% (44) Yes. Everyone around my age does! 5% (4) Yes, but it doesn't work. 2% (2) I just avoid talking about it. 14% (12) December 2003 Young Chickadee - under 18 years 5% (5) Hip Adult - 19 to 29 years 48% (45) Responsibility Strikes - 30 to 39 years 18% (17) Pre-Mid-Life Crisis - 40 to 49 years 17% (16) Young at Heart - 50 plus years 11% (10) So... let's see what we have now... Paul

Hmm.. I wonder if anyone will check the 0-4 box.. Edit: oh, about hiding my age, I always lie about my age on the internet.. just an old habit of mine.. I also lie about my name (ok well, not about my first name) and where I live (country is ok) just for my own privacy not because I think I look old etc So maybe I really am 3 years old (sometimes I really think I am )

28 - so I was in that 25-29 category... just barely. Whew! From here on out I guess I'll just have to lie, since I plan to remain 29 even when I'm old and wrinkled.

37 - I had to think about it, my bday was earlier this summer and it takes me a few months to make the switch mentally.

I turn 42 Sept. 6th, so I am firmly placed in the 40-44 bracket.

28 - hey, DJ, we're the same age! I'm 28 until January. Andreia - keeping company to MetroRhodes in 25-29 category. And also intending to remain 29 for many years to come...

But I'm not using my own name anywhere. It's definitely not Lara... (that's from a song "The eyes of Lara Moon", I didn't even invent it!) I hate my first name, I would gladly change it if I could. As for my age - I like that people think I'm a silly teenager. I totally act like one in real life anyway. But I'm much older than that, so I don't usually tell. If you saw me in person, though, the grey hair (which I'm too *young* to have, btw!) kinda gives away the fact that I'm not fresh out of College. (My actual real first name is Caroline and I'm an alcoolic...err... no, wait, I don't mean that! *lol* I'm 37 years old. In my head, though, my real name would probably be Lara and I'm 18 years old at the most. Oh and I would slay dragons for chocolate, too, btw.)

Yeah, I don't really expect anyone to check the 0-4 box, but I had to put it in just for completeness, you know? I do know of a couple of FoLCs with young kids, some of whom seem to be budding FoLCs themselves, so... you never know. As for me, I'm also 28. Seems to be a popular age. Thanks to those who voted. Keep 'em coming, guys. Oh, and Happy Birthday, Mrs. Mosley! Paul

I think it makes sense that many are 28 as of the voting of this poll (I am, too ). If you do the math, we were about 15 when the show first came out, and we were just babies when the first two Superman movies came out on theater. If you're a Superman fan, you would definitely become a L&C fan right away. At least that was my case. How about the rest of you? malu

I'm 26 now - been an online FoLC since I was 15 (season 2 if you were wondering LOL). Interesting to see that I seem to be in the most prominent age group for this board. I guess most of us grew up with L&C ... which is why it is such a big part of us! And I've been a Superman fan all my life, I can trace the actual obsession back to age 4 - which was the first time I saw Superman: The Movie. I'm pretty much a die-hard Superman fan.

/peeks out of the non-prominent group. :p I'm 22. Moved up a whole age group since the first round of polls lol. Actually, I always thought L&C was particularly cool because of the amount of respect people have had for each other. I've probably been around online since I was 14, and no matter who I talked to, they didn't seem to care how young I was. Funny, I couldn't figure out what dressing was on this sandwich I'm eating til halfway through, but that's really here nor there right now. (It was mayo.) Anyway, I don't hide my age that often, or most of the time, it doesn't come up. I don't hide my name either since it's so common, plus my friends have dubbed me with so many nicknames over the years that I hardly ever use my real name anymore. I must have been like 9 when L&C first came out. Remember it like it was yesterday! It was the coolest thing to me since sliced bread. Jen

I'm one of those people.. I have seen the Superman movies and they're OK I guess.. but then only half a year ago (shame on me) I started watching L&C and probably because of Dean (oh god he's cute ) and the chemistry between him and Teri I like L&C much much more.. (and I always like series more than movies because movies are so short ) and now I'm used to these actors and then I can't stand the Superman movies because there are other actors in it (kind of like the same as when you are used to watching the series in German you can't stand the English version anymore) Edit: sorry for being so off topic but I just had to say this :p

Oooh, I'm one of 8 FoLCs in my age group. I was actually curious about this very topic and thought about starting a poll last month. So it was nifty to peek into this forum and see one already up. Thanks, Paul. Oh, and the little note next to the first age bracket made me laugh. At what point in this aging process I am supposed to feel like an adult? I've asked myself that question many a time. *g*

Well, I'm 45, my real name is indeed Yvonne, and I don't care who knows it. Interesting that we're short on 30-somethings. Is that because they're all too busy raising young families, or just because they're having more fun elsewhere? Yvonne

Turning 17 and 12 months in a couple of weeks. (I can't even bring myself to say the total).
And I realise I probably get no sympathy from anyone older than me. <g>
