I've notice that some actors in (usually) minor roles were on the show more than once. For example:

I was just over at the CloisWorld Complete Guide to Characters on Lois and Clark and noticed, when I clicked on the name of the actor who played Phil (the copier repairman from PML), I saw that he was actually on the show twice:

(He was also recently on Castle).

The man who played Resplendent Man (William Wallace Webster Walldecker III) also played Alan Morris, the Invisible Man.


The man who played the first Robot Robber (uncredited) in Metallo, I know I recognized from another episode (although, I can't think of which one off the top of my head).

So your challenge is to find these repeated actors playing different roles and somehow create a story where the two characters are actually the same man (or woman, if applicable), and give them a plausible reason they would pretend to be two different people at two different times.

What if Bureau 39 infiltrated (inPHILtrated) the Daily Planet to figure out what Lois and Clark knew about Superman, only to have their agent cornered in the copy room by Cat?

Why would Alan Morris try to kill himself at the grave of his mother in Bolt from the Blue? Had Helene left him? Did he only tell Superman he was WWW Walldecker, III, because Clark hadn't recognized him? Or had he changed his name for some other reason? Did he miss being a super hero? What's his true story?

The story must be from the character's POV (and the truth never uncovered by The Best Team in Town) or it IS discovered by Lois and Clark but at another time (not during the episodes in which either character appeared) and they investigate him to find out the truth.

Ooooo, that's a good one. I love stories that include side characters.

There doesn't seem to be a list by actor so I copied the all character list and sorted. I left out the ones where the main characters had analogs in the soul mate/time travel stories.

Maise's story should be interesting. And Clark really should have recognized her, but this is the L&C verse where a pair of glasses is a perfect disguise.

The biggest surprise on this list (okay, it was more like DUH! ) is:

Although, is it ever mentioned if Misha is a first or last name? Or if Mr. Tracewski has a first name? Perhaps his name is Misha Tracewski. Then, again, you'd think Lois would recognize her old landlord. Of course, she had lost her memory and maybe she doesn't.

Another fun one would be:
Perhaps Maisie is actually an Agent of Bureau 39 or a spy with NIA with all those aliases.

He's not expecting to find Maisie in Metropolis. So, he's no more likely to recognize her there, than she is to see Clark in Superman's face.

Although, it would be difficult to explain how a top government official (Secretary of something) from ASU was also a doctor who experimented on Jimmy when he was a kid.

Just a note, but Sharon Thomas is actually Dean Cain's RL mother, if you want to add another level if interestingness. Maybe she can somehow be related to Clark?

Too bad she didn't play Lara, too, because then we'd have a *really* interesting fic on our hands.

Crossing shows the same actress that played Lois's mother played Laura Holt's mother on Remington Steele and Mrs. King's mother on Scarecrow and Mrs. King. I've seen one fic that used that I think on fanfiction.net but it was abandoned after a chapter or two. Secret life, triplets who won't talk about each other or what.

I think I've mentioned that before.

One of the Index Crew has sent me a spreadsheet which seems to quite comprehensively list every actor on the show by episode, by actor and by character. She has no idea who compiled it, sadly - it's been on her hard drive for years. But I can mail it to anyone who thinks it might be useful to them.
