Awe, I loved how he met Houdini. It reminded me of the good 'ole Lassie episodes. Great job.

Wow, so that's why Clark is the way he is. I hope he recovers his control, maybe with the help of Lois?? Really liking this alternate world and hope to see more soon.

Omg this is so CUTE! And so good! And ahhh, and explanation for Clark’s struggle with his powers—at least a partial answer! Why are things lingering so long??? There’s got to be some lingering red like…in the dog or something? Inside Clark? In any case, I’m now hopeful there’s a cure!! You did such a fantastic job with the details here, really making things come alive! Sara

This might be my favorite of these MagiKal installments so far! I love the explanation for Clark's out-of-control powers (and am curious, like KSaraSara, why the effects of the red+green k have lasted so long!), and his interactions with Houdini are just perfect! I hope we get more next week =) -Bek

I enjoyed Clark and Houdini’s back story. Wonderful explanation for Clark’s out of control powers. Maybe Lois can help with that. I hope there’s another story next Friday! Thank you!

This is really good stuff! You know I’ve read a few fanfics where Clark is actually addicted to the red kryptonite. With all this magic and illusion, I’m thinking you might be projecting some of that red K on us. Cause I am feeling addicted to this series of yours!!!! Keep up the good work Bakasi.

Wow, thank you so much, everyone. I'm so glad you like this. This is an interesting experiment for me, because I've never developed a story without knowing much of the plot beforehand. But while thinking about the premise, I couldn't come up with a suitable plot to turn this into one large story. So, I'm curious where this experiment will take me.

I agree with the crowd. I love these stories. Keep experimenting!
There is one typo...Don't take this the wrong way because I am in awe of anyone who can write in a foreign language as well as you do. I thought it was funny because it almost fits. You have the word "grovel" (kriechen, krabbeln), and for a moment I wondered why free-spirited Houdini would grovel when Wayne found him. The word should be "gravel" (schotter, kies). Very easy to substitute and a spell checker won't catch it.

Thanks, Shallowford. I don't mind you pointing out my mistakes. And it wasn't a typo, just a mistake I made. Gravel isn't a word I use often and I thought I got it right. Though, actually, it's quite a funny mistake, coming to think about it. Reminds me of the historical "walk to Canossa" (a medivial German Emperor who lived about 1140 had to do some groveling duty, because he started an argument with the Pope. Not a wise decision.

Potential. Potential. Potential!!!
Very neat take on a fascinating twist in Clark's life. Apparently the combination of Red and Green Kryptonite had long lasting side effects. Any thoughts on expanding this experiment?

Thank you very much, Morgana. For now, I'm trying to expand this thing on Ficlet Fridays. Though I'm not sure I'll manage to get one ready for this Friday, since I need to finish my Ficathon story. I don't know how this will develop in the future. I have a few ideas about what causes the long lasting effects, how Lois and Clark will meet, but it's fuzzy at the moment. The next installment, and maybe the one after that - exist in my head.

Hi Barbara! Houdini Unleashed
“Did you see her, Houdini?” Oooh, we’re going with the dog-the-leash meet(-again)-cute? Besides, I don’t know the first thing about her. I bet she’s a handful.” See? He does know the first thing about her. No, I don’t expect you to understand that. After all, she’s not a dog. Why would you get all worked up about a woman like her?” Well… Mad Dog. Also, Clark should refrain from taking dating advice from his four legged companion. Sniffing Lois’s rear isn’t proper form and might result in unwelcome reactions. have to adopt half of them. And Laura'd make sure I get all the troublemakers." So that’s how Clark learned to stay away from the other Lang girl in heat? The dog was bleeding from several injuries that looked fairly superficial. Clark tried to x-ray the dog to look for fractures, but the fur only got blurry before his eyes. Oh, a kryptonite cave? Clark felt strangely lightheaded as he scrambled to his elbows and knees. Okay, that’s how his powers got out if whack! The last thing he saw was an iridescent glow of something red and green. Then he knew no more. See? Clark's life had never been the same after that fateful day and neither had Houdini's. So, will his life Change again now with the adoption of a second Doggy? Also, he does need to get cut with green K to get some of that green magic in his blood stream. Cute magic. And now of course looking forward to the next magic trick! Michael
