Lois and Clark are touring the city, meeting some of Metropolis' citizens. Lois introduces Clark as a stranger from Krypton. A group of street vendors ask if they can make a quick sale of their goods, but Lois tries to pay, saying it would be impolite to accept the vendor's money. She is dismissed, and she goes to find Clark, who is hanging up from a Metropolis zip line over the rooftops. She tells Clark that everyone treats him as though he's a stranger from another world. Clark comes back into the lobby of the Metropolis Museum where Lois is waiting. They talk about the danger of the Zeta Beam, the weapon that threatened to destroy Metropolis just a few months earlier, and the mystery surrounding Superman's identity. Lois admits that she thought Superman was really a stranger from another world. Superman tries to reassure Lois that even he can be a little lost when visiting Metropolis.
Lex Luthor and his men arrive in Metropolis. Luthor introduces Clark to Metropolis as a member of the resistance.
Lois and Clark decide to take the kids to Metropolis to see Superman's show, but Superman is not ready to leave the planet yet. Clark and Lois take the kids back to Smallville, but Superman finds himself inexplicably able to transport himself to Metropolis. Superman is attacked by Lex Luthor's hired thugs.
Kryptonians arrive in Metropolis and confront the Kryptonian embassy in the Metropolis skyline. After a short skirmish, Superman is cornered in the museum basement with the weapons and weaponry of Krypton. Superman easily kills the guards and the Kryptonians are all defeated. Clark gives the kids some lessons about Krypton and the virtues of truth, courage, and justice. Superman teleports to his home in Smallville and he asks Superman to come with him to Krypton and see his grandfather, Jor-El. Lois hears a loud commotion in Metropolis and goes to help. She fights Luthor's henchmen and fights the female leader of Luthor's mercenaries. Lois defeats both of the women and destroys the weapons.
This is now a safe city. I have punched a Luthor into prison.
