Good Luck Finding SomethingSince many of my stories get quite serious, I guess sometimes I just have to pause and write a short little fluffy piece to balance that out? Let me know what you think -Bek

Hi Bek! Of course, I couldn’t keep it to 824 words /starts counting the author notes words/ but…no one wants to wait, right? /eyes Destiny/ Oh, you’re talking about *your* FDK habit! No one ever warned you about the addictive properties? Thank you to KsaraSara for BR’ing, and for help with the title and summary and…all the things, really. Except hitting 824 words. Or the Friday deadline /Checks author name/ /Marks checkbox/ “Eight hundred twenty-four dollars?!” He sighed and shook his head. While he was definitely itching to get out of the dump of a hotel he’d been staying at, this just wasn’t right No landing pad? But he was a bit concerned he’d never find a suitable place to live—at least not one he could actually afford He could trade his body for room and board? Stay with another woman each night? I’m sure Cat could hook him up. but he’d naively thought that once he’d gotten a job, he would be fine financially. Or at least able to afford a place to live that wasn’t…so obviously not what he wanted. It’s how Lex keeps the news about him positive. You’d marvel at how much a little financial incentive can get you under the right circumstances. and he felt an unfamiliar warmth spread through him as her lips curled up into a soft smile.
God, she was beautiful. Awwww….Stalkerman is so adorable! He shook his head. “I thought maybe I’d…”
He’d had a train of thought, he really had He’s soooio cute! And when she finally yawned, leaned back in her chair, and suggested maybe they pick it back up tomorrow, his heart stuttered again. At the thought of leaving her for the night or at the thought of being with her again in the morning? HEART: Yes. Maybe he’d have to settle for an apartment a little out of his price range. Maybe just a little more than eight hundred twenty-four dollars a month This shows that it’s important that you know why to market for. Naïve reporters you can catch with a Lois Lane every time. Hardened criminals, they wouldn’t take the place for free. Adorable little vignette! Also... First one! Michael

I like that instead of the words, you had the amount be the rent. Of course, unless you did that on purpose. Yes, sometimes we need a little fluff. Perfect little fluff you have here.

Aww, cute little fluffy ficlet! A nice little bright spot to a very dreary, torrential downpour kind of day. I'm sure Clark will find just the right little apartment for himself...

Oh, I definitely found what I’d been looking for... a WAFFy little fic to brigthen my day. Clark already found the special person he had been looking for. I'm sure finding an apartment won't be that hard. Thanks for sharing! Andreia

I'm glad that people are still commenting on this one so that it could pop up in the active threads! I love the hopeful feel of this, and the way Lois just transforms his day, just by her proximity. So, this is so silly, but I love that the landlord says, "Suit yourself" and then Clark chooses to spin into the Superman suit after he leaves. It just tickled me. ...he’d naively thought that once he’d gotten a job, he would be fine financially. Or at least able to afford a place to live that wasn’t…so obviously not what he wanted. Ooof, too real! Especially since… His spirits lifted just a little then, and, on a whim, he ducked into the nearest alley, quickly changed into his superhero costume, and launched himself up into the air. I know this is heading toward Lois but in the writing here, you can just FEEL his total joy and freedom in being able to just use his powers! ...and he felt an unfamiliar warmth spread through him as her lips curled up into a soft smile. Awww. I feel like we don't see this enough - we sort of take it for granted that Clark is all in as a basis for the relationship. But this little hint that it's new and he's still sorting things out is really lovely. He’d had a train of thought, he really had. But he’d gotten lost in her eyes as he started to speak, and he forgot whatever it had been that he’d been going to say. Aw, farmboy. He belonged here, in Metropolis, at the Planet…and with her. Luck had been on his side after all, and everything else would work itself out…in time. Because he’d definitely found what he’d been looking for. Soooo worth staying for! It's sweet that with no one else around, Lois is already starting to let her guard down. This whole story really sets them up for the relationship we know if coming one day! And Clark's naivete is really charming the way you write this!
