Lois & Clark Forums Forums Fan Fiction Fanfic Challenge Change one thing

So, here's the big question: What would happen if you changed one thing in the L & C universe?

This is a discussion topic as much as a challenge. By all means if you see a plot bunny headed your way grab it, but comments and insights are welcome too. Maybe a plot bunny will head toward someone looking for ideas.

Single meaningful changes, the smaller the better, followed by (optional) speculation about where it might lead.

1) Lois grows up with a brother instead of Lucy.
Sam always wanted a son and never showed a lot of positive attention to Lois. With a boy in his life Lois feels abandoned and is determined to make her mark to prove her father made a mistake by ignoring her. This Lois doesn't care about sports. She didn't make great grades in school because she was in too much trouble, is extremely aggressive in her career, is a perfectionist and regularly walks the borders of vigilantism . Her coworkers would call her "Rabid grizzly Lane" if they weren't afraid of it getting back to her. Despite this, Perry sees potential in Lois and pairs her with Clark. He figures that even though Clark will probably quit, having a partner along might restrain her enough that he won't have to fire Lois.

1. Ralph is the greatest investigative reporter at The Daily Planet and the chief's favorite. Lois and Clark worship his greatness (even though he is still a slimeball) and compete for stories to try and outdo Ralph and get in the good books with Perry.


2. Lex is now a Lexi and she's completely enamored with Clark Kent. Clark is oddly flattered by her interest but also conflicted as she is actively trying to destroy Superman. Or maybe it's Lois who knows Lexi is trying to destroy Superman and she is trying to prove it to Clark?

3. Cat never leaves The Planet. That's all...because I loved her. Ha. How would she react over the years to all Lois & Clark's shenanigans?

Lex never got involved with Lois...but he's still a bad guy.
