You cry, I cry, we all cry!
The "too broken by abuse to know what is normal, acting painfully shy until gradually can be shown that they are loved and start believing in themselves" thing is entirely my jam, and I don't think I've seen it in this fandom. The O.C. fandom had a streak of this. The next delicious part is when he does start trusting but then still has the old habits- like feeling very guilty or panicking over some normal mishap, or hoarding food, or flinching at a touch. Plus all the things that other kids would be used to- school, doctors visits, etc. Plus the other side is the new caretakers seeing all these signs, or scars, and constantly being reminded of it. Something tells me this story is going to have all of this :P But either way I'm super excited to see how this goes on.
GAHHH yeppppp (did you read Savior? I think you probably did, but I don't remember)
Anyway... ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Poor Clark. He's really been through a lot and I'm guessing the he's not even started developing any of his powers, huh? Bring on the next chapter, please.
Correct. Poor Clark has been through too much, and with the circumstances he was raised under, he didn't ever show any powers... (and of course, he's still young)
Oh no, this...is so horrible. THis poor kid already has been through so much. And all these "rules" of ihs "parents" (I refuse to treat them as such).
Yeah... they don't even deserve to be called parents. UGHH
Like, what were they even thinking? Let's have a pet alien we might be able to take profit from one day, or what's the deal there?
I expect this would have been a big part of it 😥
ANd of course they'd pull the alien card to belittle Clark even more than they already do.
*nods*
Martha just knows when Clark needs something, even if he did nothing like come to her, she still senses it. Aww.
It's just so good he has MArtha and Jonathan now. And like...him being all in awe about such a simple thing as being allowed to wear a pajama in bed is just...it shows the depths he's been screwed-up by these assholes. That will be such a long and winding journey.
ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Right??? Getting to eat full meals multiple times a day...wear clean clothes... POOR CLARK.
So next day, the social worker is coming, right? That...could be hard, for everyone involved. We'll see.
Yeah, still hooked for this one. Eagerly awaiting the next bit!
Thank you for reading 🥰
