Greetings! wave

Years ago when Airport was finished posting I thought that was the last big story from me.

I lied.

The Courier took over seven years to write and it is only 95% complete. I knew if it was not posted this year then it might never appear anywhere. Retirement. Knitting. Major family weddings were preventing me from adding to the story. Ted was also encouraging me to spend more time enjoying my retirement rather than sitting in front of a computer for hours on end.

So the only way to finish it was to send it out into the world and hope that my fellow FoLCs will enjoy it and drop a few lines of comment.

Planning on posting on Mondays and late Friday afternoons.

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Poor Clark, trapped among his fellow Kryptonians and poor Lois who's left alone in Metropolis. I wonder how Clark's abduction will turn out. Curious to see how this continues.

Glad to see this story being posted! hyper

Clark leaving for New Krypton is always sad. sad It's heartbreaking for Lois, who stays alone on Earth, wondering what is happening to Clark, and it's heartbreaking for Clark, who has to leave everyone behind to fight a war that is not his. mecry

Abducting Clark is a great idea to keep people from suspecting the truth. But I hope he's not gone for long. grovel

Clark is going to be enmeshed in a culture he barely understands, fighting a war that is not his. Lois has to deal with a lonely existence without the man she loves and yet...

This is the first in a long line of problems our favorite reporting duo has to contend with. Thanks so much one and all for your comments, they are appreciated.

So happy to see this posted!

She and Clark had only been engaged for a tiny march of days...
Really loved the phrasing of this line!

“Maybe the ‘Convoca’ should have thought about the lack of resources before allowing Nor so much power and influence that he is able to start a civil war!” Lois retorted.
I laughed at this - good advice, come much too late.

Kal-El – Clark’s – Terran life and secret identity must be shielded from exposure.
I love that it was Ching that thought of this!

Trey drew himself up and gave a convincing imitation of a warrior. “Myself, of course...
This is so cute that Trey wants to help. And it give me the impression that he's learning and wants to help - and I love that kind of character development.

Such a sad separation for Lois and Clark! frown

Trey is learning, but he is very set in the traditional ways of a Kryptonian nobleman. It will take some time, but hopefully he will see the light sooner rather than later. Still, it will be a fascinating journey to watch.

It is a sad parting for these two people who love one another so much, that is one of the reasons I have enjoyed the show so much over the years. Thanks so much for commenting! dance

I’m sorry for the late reply but I’m trying to get caught up. Clark being kidnapped from the Daily Planet is a good ruse to explain his absence and it gives Superman a believable excuse to be off planet. This story is off to a great start but it already has me teary eyed. I have a sappy heart and hope that Clark will safely return to Lois. Thank you!

Thank you for the kind comment. Yes, having Clark kidnapped in Lois' place was the perfect excuse for him to be missing from the bullpen. Which in my opinion was a lot better excuse than what the writers thought up originally. Ouch! No need to apologize for have a sappy heart. Lois and Clark are embarking on a journey that will require courage, strength and a lot of heart. Its a precious thing and one to be encouraged. twins

Being late is better than not commenting at all. It makes all the hours of research and writing worth it! There are more twists and turns awaiting our favorite reporter team. help
