Chapter 9
TOC

Sorry for the long wait everyone. Life has been just a little crazy lately. We welcomed our forth child, a beautiful baby boy, on the 4th of July and the whole family has been adjusting to having a new addition. My evenings, which were once prime writing time, are usually now filled with feeding, burping, and rocking. There will probably continue to be delays in chapter updates for a few more months.

Finally digging into Jor’s head here. Hope I can flesh him out well. He’s not really speaking to me yet.

Let me know what you think!

Poor boy. I hope, in time, he will get to know Clark better and accept him as a father figure. For the time being, I hope he'll get him to talk and show him that it's okay to show emotions.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! That’s very exciting!

With a new baby I wasn’t expecting another chapter so soon. Thank you for another great chapter. I feel for Jor. He has a lot to process. Everything he knew and loved has been turned upside down. That’s definitely confusing. Hopefully Clark can get him to open up and talk about his feelings and emotions. It’s going to take time for Clark to get through to him. Thankfully Jor has the love and support of his family.

Opening his eyes, he stepped away from the railing. < “I am well,”> he repeated. Then he turned to go inside, leaving his father on the porch.

No, you are not.

That poor little boy has had to contend with much in his short life. Losing his parents being the tip of the iceberg. It is good that he's learning much about being a child from his 'brother' Jon. There will be much to absorb. But somehow I feel certain he will not only survive, but thrive. He is with the best possible family to be a part of.

Hmmm, somehow I think Jor-El will start speaking to you soon. This chapter gives us more than a clue as to who he is.

Armanda, so glad to see you continuing with this story! Congratulations on the new family member.

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.
