Plus, Lana was exhausting, She was demanding, impertinent, and high maintenance.

Lois Lane wouldn’t be anything like that, Clark was sure. She seemed like the perfect girl, the sort of girl he could take home to his mother. Yet there was enough mystery that she was still intriguing.
Snort, well, Lois is a little high maintenance, but Clark won't mind...

“Who are you, and where am I?” She stared at him with terrified eyes.

The strange sense of knowledge that had been in her eyes was gone. In its place was only a frightened young girl.

Who the heck is Herbie?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

H.G. Wells, I'm thinking.
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought it was a referance to Lovebug. I wasn't sure what that had to do with Lois's pink VW, but...

The moonlight played over her features, and Clark found himself trying to memorize them.
With his memory, there's no way he will forget her, regardless of whether or not this is a one-time meeting.

The others laughed good-naturedly at that. They started calling out the names of songs from Lois’s childhood- songs by the Eurythmics, the Police, Elton John, the Funkmasters…and from bands Lois barely even remembered.

“Why not let the new girl pick?” Lana called out. “She probably knows all sorts of big city music we haven’t heard yet.”
Which is, of course, the perfect explanation for why Lois knows a song the rest of them don't. wink

Quote
He’d always been there for her when the times were at there worst. He’d been the first dependable man she’d ever had in her life, with the exception of her uncle- and unlike her uncle, Clark hadn’t HAD to love her.
Lois feels like an outcast, the same as Clark has always felt like he didn't quite belong.

Not sure what to think of the ending. Curiouser and curiouser. It certainly takes the story around a different corner.

I heard Take My Breath Away on the radio this morning. Didn't think of Top Gun. Went straight here. Back on my "read next" list again.

Still loving the story.

Hello There! Can you give me a brief idea about this fic? Is it complete?

It's complete on the Archives as Time and Again and is an excellent story.

Partial Spoiler:
Lois travels back in time and finds herself having to work despite and with her younger self to save not only the world from an asteroid larger than Nightfall but also Superman.

If that's not enough info for you, PM me and I'll add more.

We also got the complete story on the boards:
https://www.lcficmbs.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php/topics/171710

I highly recommend our fanfic index (https://www.lcficdirectory.com/pgindex/) for cases such as this smile It gives you the link to the TOC and information WIP/Completed status.

Michael, thanks for the link. I know I have spent time trying to find an old story that isn't on the Archives and is older than the maximum date range for searches here.

Is the posted somewhere that people including newbies to the sites could easily find it on the sites? From my cursory review, it doesn't seem to be included in either the FAQs or Forum Help Links on the home page, where guidance is offered to those new to the site. I also didn't see it on the Archive's Stories links.

I had this problem too. You can run an older search but how to do it isn't obvious. Click on the date range dropdown and select the blank option that's above Day, Week, Month, or Year. This will ignore the date range and give you results of any age.

Thanks for bringing this story up. I love time travel stories and I hadn't read this one before.

Ciudora, as Shallowford said, you need to blank out the date stuff in the search form, both the number and the drop down.

And the fanfic index, you can find it right above the threads list in the fanfic board. It's labeled "Fanfic Index" I huge letters. Looks like it's a heading, which might be why no one finds it laugh
