I feel like we fall into the trap of "Lois wouldn't run" a lot, and I love love love that you've just followed her impulses instead for this story. THAT feels SO Lois Lane.

Except if she did decide she wanted to meet Jack Mackenzie, that decision would lead right back to Clark and his mother.
I like how subtle this little lead-in is. We know (hope!) that all roads lead back to Clark for her.
