Shayne, I *love* how you use Lois's background from the show -- Daddy taking her to the fights, her acquaintance with Bobby Bigmouth-to-be, and Louie. See, I almost never think about that stuff, so when you said she was going to have to raise the money, I was thinking it'd be tough to find a suitable event, but this... it unfolded perfectly logically but I never saw it coming. Way to go!
I wonder if things might be different because of the age. First time 'round, she was the established professional and he had a *lot* to learn. This time (at least from his point of view) he'll be the older and more experienced one, sharing his wisdom with a student.
Oh, and I'm about Lois's age, so all the references to the fashions and albums amuses me no end.
You've gotta mention New Coke, too. Actually, if you could work it in, I could tell you all about a high school in Pennsylvania that's burying a time capsule about this point...
