I'm with BJ. When James and I were discussing this over dinner, oh so long ago, he wondered how Clark had died and I told him how obvious it that he had been killed by Lex before Lois's near-wedding.
I hope that Lois gets everything she wants from this trip. It's going to spend her several days to drive halfway across the country and she'll have to spend the same amount to come back. Since we know she doesn't want to lose her internship and we know that Clark needs to get back to Wichita, that won't leave her with a lot of time.
I remember the country music very clearly, as well. My dad traveled for a living, and he always talked about listening to "a sad cowboy" all the way across Illinois--which is a long trip if you travel from tip to tip.
I love the meeting. I love how Lois has second thoughts and I love how meaningless her second thoughts are. Clark has already fallen for her.
