Wow, You are doing very well in showing us a Clark who is being an idiot at the same time making it seem reasonable to Clark.
I'll look forward to seeing where you take this story.
You might also want to think about doing a "Superman II" (S2) / "Superman Returns" (SR) fan fiction. In S2 Clark gives up his powers to be with Lois Lane. With the way you are writing this I think you have a real handle on the mindset that causes Superman/Clark to erase Lois's memory at the end of S2.
