I agree with Elisabeth here. This smacks too much of the terrible games that some women play: "I know I said 'yes,' but couldn't you tell I really meant 'no'?" However, I disagree with Elisabeth here, at least in part:

For at least a generation, we have tried to train men that a woman's "no" means no. He can't just ignore her "no, don't touch me" when he isn't privy to her thoughts. However, he does need to talk to her even when she's shutting him out, at least by telling her how he feels or what he's thinking.
