Well, we clearly have two cases here of people being infatuated with the wrong people. Clark is infatuated with Maddie, which is wrong, and Lois is infatuated with Paul, which is horribly wrong.
You have to set this right! Maybe Clark will be sufficiently concerned for Lois to do something to get Paul exposed? Maybe the simple fact that he is willing to something drastic to help Lois will make him realize that he cares much more for her than he, uh, realizes? And maybe Lois will realize that Clark wouldn't go to all that trouble on her account unless he really cared about her?
Here's hoping Lois and Clark will see the light soon!
