Hmm... yeah, I do have to admit, ever since I told myself Dillinger wouldn't succeed with Lois in TNPLH, I stopped expecting bad things to happen to Lois. You never made it clear about Clark, though. Never put him in that precarious a position. So, I guess you'd have to actually start cutting. Then, in future stories, you could get away with scaring people silly once more without actually damaging the goods.
