He'll attend regular school once he is up to speed. Luckily, he's a fast learner with a perfect memory. So the following fall, he'll join the rest of the kids in Smallville in school. I debated about writing his first day of school, but there were other things I wanted to explore even more.
Lois will show up (briefly) in Chapter 8.
