This is a wonderful description of Glasgow. I want to visit, though I'm not sure I want to try the Mars bars.

Thank you! And definitely visit Scotland if you ever get the chance. Most people love Edinburgh because of how gorgeous and touristy it is, but the real Scotland is in Glasgow (and the Highlands) in my opinion. I got the idea when I was searching for something newsworthy to write on for the date of March 9th (as I wanted to set this roughly shortly after The Phoenix) and my friend told me that was the date of the invention of the Deep Fried Mars bar as well as the Queen's first visit to Northern Ireland since the ceasefire. I thought that it would be funny to mix the two and this somehow happened. Thanks again!
