Maybe Lois, when school starts, could try to express her sympathy for Lana's loss of a child.

Lana could bitch her out and tell her that she knew Clark was falling for Lois from day one. She could tell Lois that she could read Clark's moods and feeling till Lois came along. At that point Clark began to close her out and nothing she did could change it, no amount of talk, no touching, nothing, one day Clark was Lana's then next he was Lois's.

She could tell Lois that of course she'd hated Lois, she'd always hate Lois and so on and so forth.

Think about it, from day one Clark took Lois's side

I sighed again. "Lana, give her a break. She didn't do this. It was a mix-up."
He turned down Lana's idea of being roommates
Quote
You have to get her out of here. Or better yet, she can move to my room and I'll move in here."

I sighed. "That's not going to happen, Lana, and you and I both know it.
but turned around and made the same offer to Lois.

He took a deep breath. "Well, there's one obvious solution, but..."

"We share."

"Well, I was going to say we stay roommates, but... yeah, basically."
He also flirted with Lois right from the start
Quote
He grinned and winked at me. "Good thing I've already got a girl or I might be jealous."
Linda King tried to warn him about Lois and he ignored her completely, not a reasonable decision.

And at that infamous party
Quote
I couldn't find Lana anywhere...looking around some more, I thought about trying to locate her heartbeat, but the music and loud talking – and what I was sure was going on upstairs – discouraged me from trying.
He wasn't concern enough about Lana to even try to find her. But Lois?

Quote
Was that Lois? ....I squelched the panic I was starting to feel on behalf of my roommate. I moved quickly towards the stairs. Once up them, the noise from the party was muffled enough that I could try to find her heartbeat. I tried to tune out any other sounds that were coming from the rooms around me, but was only partially successful.

Finally, I located her heartbeat coming from one of the common areas on the third floor.
Lois he keeps track of and is concerned about and he does LISTEN for her heartbeat.
