I think that, on the subject of taking Lois or not, there is a much more important question. The canon basis for Superman's abilities is that they are adaptations gained by a human or human-like race under a red sun that go into overdrive under a more luminous yellow sun. Therefore, Clark's first question should be, if he considers going at all, would Lois be *able* to go with him? She doesn't have said adaptations and since everyone on Krypton has the same adaptations they would not have needed to develop technologies to overcome the absence of their adaptations... would such a visit kill her? Finally, there is another point... Lara mentioned that the infertility that plagues the house of El wasn't a barrier to having children on Krypton... would whatever technology that overcomes that trait be made available to Jor-El's lost son? If so what does this treatment entail? Cloning? Some sort of artificial gamete production from other cells? Or something that could 'cure' Clark permanently? All possibilities to consider...
