Woah! Time out, people. eek

At the risk of giving what might be construed as a spoiler (I don't think it is, but read on at your own risk), I never intended for Clark to go somewhere without Lois.

Lara doesn't really expect him to, either. I tried (though maybe not very successfully) to get this across when she tells Bernie that she needs a ship to carry "at least two people."

Bear in mind, both she and Kal flew in on single-passenger ships. She'd have to either construct or modify a ship to be multi-passenger. Given the prototypical nature of the crafts, and the established limitations with technology and fuel, Lara's request for a multi-passenger ship is a bit like someone from the 1960s going, "Hey, Steve, wouldn't it be cool if this computer could talk to the other two computers in the world? Like maybe over a phone line?"

I apologize for not adequately conveying this in-story. frown I thought I sort of had, and I do plan to kind of bring it up again in another story.

So, is this an adequate explanation? Do I need to rework something?
