I'm glad I didn't get a chance to read this until after you left the note here, as like others, I really saw Clark and Lara never really making up as if Clark knew she expected him to leave his home when he had not even fully forgiven her yet, it might have pushed things over the edge.
I loved hearing about Clark's reaction to the dinner. My favorite part of this chapter was Lara talking about Jor-El and Clark sitting there with a forkful of meatloaf just sort of hanging there. I could picture it very well.
