I know that eventually it will be alright, but I have a feeling Clark is going to be in for a lot more emotional pain before this is all over. Sob!
Well, maybe the very next paragraph in the story is:
As Lois came slowly out of sleep, she suddenly remembered everything. Her friendship with Clark. Falling slowly in love with him. Their resulting engagement. A smile made its way across her face as it suddenly occurred to her that they were stranded together on a tropical island. Now, this had possibilities.
(Well, it could happen!)
15 minutes later. "Thank you for coming, Chief Harrison. I don't know what got into that inspector of yours, but suddenly he pulled his gun on the shrink demanded he do some anatomically impossible things."
Will be interesting to see how Lois reacts to her "kidnapping"
